After receiving a whopping $1200 energy bill @ 36 cents per kw/hour, I did an online energy company comparison and discovered QEnergy who only charges 22 cents per kw/hour - locked in at that rate for 2 years.
People should shop around and be savvy when it comes to their energy pricing. Not only did I switch companies but I fought my bill with the Complaints Department of my energy provider based on the bad customer service considering I was given no prior warning of their last rate rise. I also received poor written communication from them. I told the company I would take these examples of their bad customer service and go public. After that, my bill was reduced by almost $400.
